BlockBeats News, December 18, according to Polymarket data, the probability of Powell being nominated as Fed Chair by Trump has further dropped to 25%, while the probability of Hassett, Director of the U.S. National Economic Council, being nominated has risen to 52%, and the probability of Waller, a Fed Governor, being nominated has decreased to 13%.
Yesterday's news revealed that informed sources disclosed that Trump had interviewed current Fed Governor Waller on Wednesday local time regarding the Fed Chair candidacy. Trump had interviewed former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh last week. Trump stated that Warsh and Hassett are currently his top two favored candidates.
